The farms on fertile lands

Quality, taste, smell and other specifications of the consumed honey depend a lot on the geographical features of the area that bees live in. This also the reason for introduction of different names like forest honey, mountain honey, meadow honey, linden honey and so on. Therefore professional beekeeper’s first mission is to detect the most suitable living area for bees and build the necessary environment.

Since the day we started this job, we have settled in the most fertile and most beautiful lands of Azerbaijan. This factor is also what makes “Balli” distinct from its competitors!

Abundant choices and various regions

Today, our various “Balli” products are collected from a number of regions of Azerbaijan and every one of them is highly valued by professional specialists and our valuable customers. Currently, we offer you a few different types of natural honey and beekeeping products.

Currently, “Balli” farms are located in these regions:

Shahdag valley and surrounding zones:

n this region, our bee farms are in Quba, Qusar and Khacmaz regions. Our bees are fed with rich vegetation of the woods and hills of these areas. These regions have following plants: brassicaceae, spindle, ash, taxus, maple, mespilus, hawthorns, rubus, rose hip, berberis, clover, caspian locust.

Balakan, Gakh və Zagatala

Honey is mainly collected from the bee farms of Qakh, Balakan and Zagatala. Flora of the area consists of more than 300 species of plant. Approximately, 100 tree and bush types are spread throughout this region. In the valley, meadow plants are widespread. In the mountainous part, steppe plants are more common. Out of these plants, more than 50 of them are used for medication purposes and roughly 100 plant is used for decorative purposes.

Aran region

One of the favourite plants of bees is licorice and it is widespread in Aran region, especially in the regions of Kurdemir and Saatli. Along with licorice, alhagi, three-leaf clover and other plants are also rich with nectars and the favourites of the bees.

Southern Region

The honey from this area is mainly coming from the bee farms in Lerik, Astara and Masalli regions. But did you know that, some of “Ballı”’s bees are living not only in stationary spaces, but also in mobile farms. They are transported from one vegetatively rich region to another depending on the season.
